Ahron Villena, one of the castaways of Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Showdown, will appear in the highly-anticipated movie The Bride And The Lover. Paulo Avelino is one of the lead stars of this movie.

The first time I saw Ahron Villena on MTB: Ang Saya-Saya’s talent search called TV Idol Ur D’ Man, I immediately got a crush on him. He’s come a long way since then. Here are his latest pictures as posted by Jerry Olea on Puri Titiwang Presents.

Latest Paulo Avelino Pictures

Paulo Avelino has come a long way from the time he first posed for Bench. The last time I heard news about him, he was in a relationship with LJ Reyes. He also has a son now named Ethan Akio Reyes who was born last July 24, 2010.

One of his most memorable role on TV was the character named Nathan Montenegro from the tele-serye Walang Hanggan. This year, he was cast as Miguel Rodriguez Jr / Jacob de Guzman on the movie The Bride And The Lover, along with Ahron Villena.

He also did the indie movies Sana Dati and Debosyon for Cinemalaya. As a reward for his good performance, he won as Outstanding Supporting Actor (for Walang Hanggan) in the 10th Golden Screen TV Awards.

My Top 4 Gwiyomi Guys

For those of you living under a rock the last few days, Gwiyomi is the latest video meme nowadays. I’ve heard about this a few days ago but this is the only time that I was able to view it. Guess who is the first person I’ve seen performing the Gwiyomi craze – the scandalous Miko Pasamonte!

BTW, Wikipedia gave me a brief info on Gwiyomi:

“The internet meme is originated from a South Korean boy band BToB’s member Jung Ilhoon. According to The Bangkok Post, "Gwiyomi" or "Kiyomi" is Korean slang used to refer to a cute person.The lyrics of the song can be interpreted as "1 + 1 = Cutie, 2 + 2 = Cutie", etc. Gwiyomi (귀요미) is based on the adjective "gwiyeo-un" (귀여운), which means cute. Thus "gwiyomi" means a cute person.”

I Suddenly Want To Be In New Zealand

New Zealand became the 13th country in the world that legalized gay marriage. I suddenly want to migrate to New Zealand and be legally married.

Dale Bacar shared this video on Facebook and it’s one of the best (and hilarious) speech that I’ve ever heard. Indeed, life will go on for the rest of the population (that are not gay). For the people concerned, this will give them equal rights under the law.

To sum it up, New Zealand politician Maurice Williamson said to New Zealand’s heterosexual community (and quoting from the Bible) “Be not afraid”.

I hope Filipinos would think like him.

Miko Pasamonte rose to fame in the independent (indie) film “Kape Barako” along with Johnron Tañada. He was also cast in another indie film called “Kumpare”.
